People are searching for something whether they know it or not. That's what I believe. I was listening to the song, God Shaped Hole by Plumb earlier and in her lyrics she states the same. I know there are nay-sayers..but if the non-Christian looked at a true-follower of Jesus would they see something that they liked? (and I'm not talking about those persons who just go to church and play the social club game) ...but would they find Joy and Peace in their face?...Would they find Jesus?
Do they see something in the Christian's life that they wish they had? Is there a desire for something that they can't quite put their finger on? ...or maybe they're pursuing material things...or experiences instead .....and are not quite getting satisfied with those things either. I believe that there is a God shaped hole in everyone's heart. They are searching for God...for a Savior. Until a person fills that hole with Jesus, they are still searching.

"Busy" Week
Soooooo. This is my first post on my new blog. Just had a wonderful weekend after a very busy week. Why does life always seem so busy?? (I am going to take that word out of my vocabulary!) But don't you think we ALL need to remove that word "busy" out of our vocabulary?!? How many times have I answered "busy" when someone asks how am I doing? Do we say we are "busy" to sound important? Are we creating this busy-ness so much that we don't have quiet time with God? hmmm

Working For the Lord
This week I finished two art pieces for an upcoming show. Nothing like waiting till the last minute! The Choctaw Indian Art Show will take place Labor Day Weekend in beautiful Tuskahoma, Oklahoma. Can't wait to hang out with the family! This mixed media piece is my first for entry into a show. I had fun creating it and it represents Colossians 3:23. "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men." It is titled,"Working for the Lord."| Beautiful Conference...my daughter got picked to volunteer. :) |
Beautiful Awakening Conference
This week I was also getting the details finished for our 40+ ladies (from LifeWay Church of Kingfisher) attending Victory Church's Beautiful Women's Conference. This year's theme was called Beautiful Awakening and awakened we were! What a great time of worship, learning, crying, and laughing! My heart has been awakened and motivated to do what God wants Melanie to do! I will make a difference in this world a little bit at a time and leave a legacy of hope. He loves me and accepts me just as I am and I will pass that message on!Be Blessed Everyone! Until later.....~~Melanie
